Junior Golf Program
Our Commitment To foster the enjoyment, friendship, challenge, skills, development, rules, knowledge, and character development the sport of golf can provide. Through Club, inter club, zone, provincial, and national competitions provide a measuring stick to challenge both the experienced and inexperienced junior golfer. To develop leadership abilities in those players who have confidence in their skills to help less experienced players. Through social play, clinics, events, provide learning opportunities to the skills of the beginning, novice, and young golfers. To provide an environment strong in peer support and allow for a positive exchange between the senior and novice junior members. To provide professional training on an ongoing basis for a nominal fee to aid in the long term development of junior golf in the Comox Valley and on Vancouver Island and beyond. Age Requirements The Junior Program is designed for junior golfers aged 8-18. Glacier Greens Golf Club must approve golfers under the age of 8 who wish to be part of the junior program for membership. Consideration will be given to under 8 juniors who have previous playing experience and/or have worked with one or more golf professionals to develop their games.
Glacier Greens is proud to announce the beginning of a graduated junior golf program. The program is designed to take juniors from any experience level and allow them to grow on the golf course. Juniors are welcome of any skill or age range. The program follows Golf Canada’s Long Term Development Plan and Future Links. Our goal is to not only help juniors grow in the game of golf but make them more physically fit and well mannered people. The cist if the program includes range balls, clubs and tuition.
